Exam 70-632  
This Exam is the TS: Microsoft Office Project 2007, Managing Projects. To build, maintain and control well-formed project plans the examinees on this exam use MS Office Project Standard 2007 or MS Office Professional 2007 standalone desktop features. This excludes Project Server features. Examinees must have experience on estimating, scheduling, and coordinating. They should also experience budgeting, controlling, staffing projects, and supporting other user of Office Project. It is also recommended that they are familiar with key project management terminology and concepts.

When examinees pass this exam, they have completed the requirements for the certification on Microsoft Certified TS: Managing Projects with MS Office Project 2007. They will also earn credit towards MS Certified IT Professional: Enterprise Project Management with MS Office Project Server 2007.

To help the examinees prepare for this exam, they should have hands-on experience with the merchandise and that they take particular training courses. The examinees can take courses such as course 5927. They can also use a MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit for this Exam. Microsoft online resources such as Learning Plan; TechNet; MSDN; and Microsoft Learning Community can also help them to prepare for this exam.

This exam will measure the ability of the examinees to complete the given technical tasks using MS Office Project 2007. Also, before the examinees take the exam they should be proficient with the following:
Configuring Tools and Options – examinees must set up schedule options. They should also set up Interface options; general options; view options; calendar options; and security options.

Setting Up a Project – the examinees must create and modify a template. They should also select a template and enter project information. They must also manage calendars. The examinees must also perform an importing and exporting of data.

Estimating, Scheduling, and Budgeting Tasks – the examinees must perform the following: create a WBS; create and modify tasks; estimate and budget tasks; sequence tasks; identify and analyze critical tasks and critical path; and manage multiple projects.

Resourcing Project Plans – examinees should carry out the following: forecast time-phased generic skill or role requirements; create, modify, and use resource pools; add, change, substitute, or remove resource assignments; predict durations and work calculations; and optimize resource utilization.

Updating and Reporting on Project Performance – the examinees have to execute the following: save and modify baselines; enter task updates; reschedule incomplete work; track project progress; analyze variance; create, modify, and delete objects; and create reports.
