The Exam 70-529 is the TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 - Distributed Application Development. The qualifications for the candidates in this exam is that they should work on a team in a medium or large development environment which uses Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 Enterprise Developer or Visual Studio 2005. They should have at least one year experience in developing distributed application using the Microsoft .NET Framework. And the candidates must have a working knowledge of Visual Studio 2005.
When the candidates pass this exam they earn a credit for certification towards Microsoft Certified (TS): .NET Framework 2.0 Distributed Applications.
When the exam starts, the candidates can choose to use what programming language to use. The code languages that are available for this exam are Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 and Microsoft Visual C# 2005 in which the code segments will appear.
Aside from the experience with the product, the candidates are also suggested to take courses, books, and practice tests. They may take several courses such as workshop 2548 and workshop 2549. The candidates can also take MCTS self-paced training kit for exam 70-529.
This exam is made to measure the ability of the candidates to develop and implement distributed applications using the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. Before the candidates take the exam, they should be proficient with the following job skills:
Creating and accessing XML Web services – the candidates must create and configure an XML Web service method. The candidates must also configure a Web service method using the properties of the attribute. They must also build and deploy a Web service application.
Configure and customizing a Web service application – the candidates must configure SOAP messages, configure the Web services communication protocol, and manage session state in Web services. They must also implement SOAP headers and SOAP extensions.
Creating, configuring, and deploying remoting applications – the candidates must create and configure a server application. They must also create a client application to access the remote subject. They must debug and deploy the remoting application, create and serialize the remotable types, and manage the lifetime of the remote subject.
Implementing Asynchronous calls and remoting events – candidates must call Web method and remoting methods asynchronously. They must also implement events in the remoting application.
Creating and accessing a serviced component and using message queuing – the candidates will create, configure, and access a service component. They must also sign and encrypt messages, receive messages, and process massages.
